FAQs

How to schedule?

  1. Click on any of the "Book" buttons on the page.

  2. You are presented with my calendar.  Select the day and time you want to receive the service.

  3. You'll be prompted to fill in basic demographic info, and click "Request Appointment."

  4. I will confirm your appointment, and send you an email with a custom link to your Client Portal.  There, you can complete all the necessary intake forms. The Client Portal is the place you can send me secure messages through, view upcoming appointments and make new ones, make cancelations, and manage your payments.

What are the fees?

Payment Method

I am currently working to add insurance providers as an option for clients.  Currently, private pay has been priced affordably to try to remove any barriers to treatment.

Payment is due at the time of service.  Payment can be made via the registered patient portal online or in person.  I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Prices

$50 - Individual Therapy

$100 - Family/Couples Therapy

Do you have a late fee policy?

Yes, I do.  I wish I didn't have to have this sort of policy, but no-shows wastes both my time, and my other client's time.  No-shows will be charged the full amount for a session per instance.  Late cancellations (within 24 hours of your appointment) may be charged half the amount for a session.  This isn't to be mean, but to cover the cost of my wasted gas and time to come to the office.  Multiple late cancellations and no-shows may end in termination of services.  Non-sufficient funds/bounced check will be assessed a $34 fee per instance.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this moment.

What is a session like?

I try to make my sessions as comfortable as possible for you.  I understand seeing a mental health professional can be intimidating and make people nervous, so I do my best to be down to earth and connect with you.  We'll start off by reviewing your paperwork so we're clear about my policies and how our sessions will likely unfold.  We'll take some time to get to know each other to make sure we're a good fit, and you'll have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have.  We'll talk about your history, why you're seeking therapy, and your goals we want to work towards.  Then, if we have time remaining, we'll delve into some of what problems you're having so I have a better idea on how I can help.  I will tell you about my therapy styles and what I think would best help you.  We'll talk about some things that you might find helpful, and in the next session, we'll be able to start tackling more issues.
