About Me
Host of The Path to Happiness Podcast
Hey there! My name is Adam Hunt, and I'm so happy you're checking out my page! I've been working with mental health issues for over twelve years now, and I'm excited to bring my expertise to the table.
After graduating from West Virginia University back in 2007, I packed up and moved from Washington D.C. to Wisconsin. And you know what? I'm glad I did. This state has been a great home for me and my family ever since.
I've worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, and I think that's helped me become a well-rounded counselor. But don't worry, I'm not all serious business all the time. I like to bring a bit of humor to my sessions to make things more relaxed and comfortable for everyone involved.
One of my favorite counseling techniques is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I think it's a really useful way to explore how our thoughts, beliefs, and values shape our lives. We'll dive into all of that and more when we work together.
When I'm not counseling, I love to get out and enjoy the world around me. Camping, hiking, and backpacking with my family and friends are some of my favorite activities. I'm also into tinkering with computers and electronics, and my family and I love to hit the road for a good old-fashioned road trip. Life's too short to sit around and do nothing, right?
