My name is Adam Hunt, and I am so happy that you've taken the time to explore my page! I have over twelve years of experience working with mental health issues. After receiving my graduate degree from West Virginia University in 2007, I moved up from the Washington D.C. Metro area to Wisconsin partly because of work, partly due to me simply loving this part of the country. My family and I have settled into Wisconsin since then and really love the state and all it has to offer!
I have a long background working with a variety of people, young and old. I like to bring that experience, as well as infusing my sense of humor into my sessions. I am very passionate about helping others, and look forward to helping you! I use a variety of counseling techniques in my practice. Specifically, I lean heavily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where I help you explore how your values, thoughts, and beliefs impact your life, in addition to using Solution Focused Brief Therapy, where I help you see the good in your life and help you look for solutions versus problems. All of this comes together during our sessions to assist you with your life journey.
I like to think of myself as an adventurous type of person who likes to experience life to its fullest. I enjoy camping, hiking, and backpacking with friends and family. I also enjoy tinkering with computers and electronics as well as taking road-trips with my wife and children. I believe we should try to enjoy the life we were given.
